What is 'Sorting and Processing?'
Sorting technologies divide material into good and bad products. Processing technology adds value to the good material. The sorting and processing technology SATAKE has cultivated for rice and corn can be applied to many materials, including resins, pellets, snacks, pet food, and millets.

Principles of optical sorting
Optical sorters are machines which remove foreign objects from material using high resolution cameras and compressed air. Our optical sorters can be classified into two types based on differences in sensor and feeding systems: chute type optical sorters and belt type optical sorters.

2. Chute type optical sorter (Magic Sorter)

This machine is able to remove foreign objects using a high sensitivity CCD camera and compressed air.

2. Belt type optical sorter (Full Color Belt Sorter)

This machine uses a belt conveyor to transport materials to the sorting section. Full color cameras capture color information (red, green, and blue) and the machine identifies and removes foreign and defective products. This machine can sort materials with unusual shapes and those which are easily damaged.

The Plastic Pellet Sorter removes misshapen and defective products using a plate with specially designed indentations.

The leg aspirator uses wind to remove light foreign objects and dust.Light objects are carried to the upper section and heavy objects flow out from the lower section of the machine.

Principles of surface polishing
Our surface polishers were developed based on our rice milling technology. They polish and remove stains, seals, and paint from resin recovered from household appliances, car bumpers, and office equipment. Installing a surface processor makes it easy to reuse plastics and reduce costs. Surface polishers can be classified into two types: dry and wet.

1. Dry type surface polisher(Plastic Pellet Polisher)

This machine removes dust, paint, glue and stains by rubbing the materials against each other. All contact parts are stainless steel.
